Following 11 years of agency co-ownership and more than 17 total years in the Orange County, California advertising community, I formed Shaun Young Marketing Communications in 2003.

My background includes strategic development, marketing program management and execution for high technology, business-to-business and consumer clients such as Nortel Networks, Cylink Corporation, Adaptec, Dynic USA, Mercury Interactive, Bank Administration Institute (BAI), Downey Savings & Loan, AvalonBay Communities, Meeker Development, Coleman Homes, Kamalani Resort Development and many others.

Ad agencies also call on me when they need an experienced team member, but don’t want to hire someone permanently.

Before I began my career in marketing, I thought I’d like to be in broadcasting. So I earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia. But along the way I determined that my real love is marketing and I landed my first agency job in Orange County.

For about 20 years, I’ve served Delta Gamma Fraternity as a local, regional and international officer. Our organization’s objectives include leadership training, philanthropy and personal development for our collegiate and alumnae members. Currently, I’m the Fraternity’s Director of Expansion, leading our marketing and recruitment efforts when we install a chapter on a new campus.
